Please give yourself enough time to heal before you go back to work. Some women are ready to go back to work after a few days, and others it takes 2 weeks or so to feel strong enough to return to work. Just make sure you give yourself plenty of time to recuperate. As for your question, you should not have a problem getting pregnant if you lose your ovary. When we lose one ovary, the other one usually takes over the function of both ovaries. This may take a few cycles, as your body will be going through some major trauma and stress. Keep in mind that we may look healed on the outside, but it takes the inside longer to heal, thus, it may take a few cycles for your hormones to get back to where they should be. Good luck. Please let us know how you are doing.
the gynae told me that she's going to drain the fluid(cyst) inside the right ovary and i guess after tomorrow, i'll be able to say what exactly is the cause of these pain because they're also check the other organs and hopefully by monday i'll be okay and at work.
please cross your fingers for it to be a success.............
will advise once i'm back and their findings.
this website is really helping me with a lot of information and talking to people who literally understands what you're going through:)
It doesn't look like you're expecting to lose your right ovary, but you shouldn't worry about it. It's my understanding that you only need one ovary to get pregnant. The remaining one will do double duty. Good luck with your surgery.
i did a laparoscopy procedure a month ago and i had some cysts in my left ovary, but that was as a result of some endometriosis. i'm not planning to have a baby anytime soon, but I hope that your surgery goes well. get plenty of rest and i hope you have someone to help you, especially for the first week because you will be tired and groggy most of the time. best of luck!
