Ovarian Cysts

.Hi I'm 32 and was diganosed with ovarian cysts years ago, my problem is I've been really sick for @ 2 yrs and recently went to ER because I was so sick I couldn't move, that's where they found a 5-6 cm cysts growing.  I switched Dr. last year because it just seemed that she wanted to put me on pills that didn't produce periods. I havn't had a period in 2 yrs and my symptoms are horrible. What started off as on and off nausea and vomiting over the course of 2 yrs is now to the point of non-stop nausea and vomiting, like I said I went to ER and all that my Dr. wants to do is have me come to his office to watch it.  OK been there done that, been on the pill, been there done that, I can't even take them now because I'm sick. When he came in to tell me what it was and how big, he said, it looks to be benign, at what point does it make it ok to say it looks like?  Like I said my constant nausea and vomiting would be a tip off something is really wrong!!!  I have a family history of whole array of female problems ending up that everyone woman on my mom's side of family has had a hystrecomy by age 35. I'm at wits end as to what I should do.  My quality has deminished due to constanly being sick, not to mention I have a husband and 2 children that this also effects because if mommy doesnt feel good, then no one does.  Please I need advice!!

I am experiencing the exact same thing. Cyst was 2.5cm last Wednesday and is now 3.7cm. No meds have helped. Hydrocodone at least takes the edge off. I'm waiting on my OB to call me right now. I'm supposed to work a 12 hour shift tomorrow. This pain is debilitating !

Hi, I am so sorry for what you're going through.  I know all too well about the doctor run around.  I was doubled over in pain vomitting for days only after going to a major hospital in Boston did someone tell me my cyst on my ovary tossed, cut off the blood supply in my left ovary which killed it and I ended up in emergency surgery.  I now have a cyst on my right, and only, ovary and pushing to have it removed before I go through a loss like that again.  My suggestion is get a second, third or fourth opinion if possible to get you answers and I suggest you go to a major city near you with bigger hospitals and more expertise.  Please don't let doctors give you what if answers.  Get better and lots luck.  Keep me posted! Xoxo

I know this post is old, but I'm in the same boat.  I have a rather small ovarian cyst on the right side.  The problem is, they ccan't see the left ovary due to scar tissue and that's probably where a larger cyst or fibroids are dwelling.  I also have a very small polyp in my uterus.  A few months ago, I started getting dizzy the week before my cycle.  The doctor told me to take iron.  I did that.  It seemed okay - cycle was normal to a little heavy.  Then, last month, a week after my cycle, when I was ovulating, I started to get very dizzy.  They did a brain CT and said that I had a tiny stroke sometime years ago, but that wouldn't explain the sudden onset of dizziness now.  They did a transvaginal sonogram and thats' when they found the cyst and the polyps.  I am SO sick.  I just spent a week in the hospital because I went to stand up and it felt like my entire back was twisting.  I couldn't stand and breathe at the same time.  The EMTs had to scoop me off the floor.  The hospital doctors ignored me telling them that there was a gynecological problem.  Now, I'm 11 days late and when I say that I'm miserable - I'm miserable.  I'm tired and nauseaus all the time.  I could throw up just by looking at food.  We have confirmed repeatedly that I'm not pregnant.  I'm in such bad shape, I don't even want anyone touching me.  This week, I finally made it back to the gynecologist.  She immediately did an endometrial biopsy on me in the office (very uncomfortable). She recommened a partial hysterectomy and referred me to a doctor at a bigger hospital in Baltimore.  I have to wait for th biopsy report and a visit to the surgeon first. Surgery is at least 2 weeks out.  I don't even know if I'll make it two weeks.  I've lost 7 lbs in the past week alone.  This *****!
