Cyst pushing on organs?

Hello,
I am very nervous about getting results of internal ultrasound tomorrow.  I "peeked" at the screen of external ultrasound and saw this "mass", "cyst", "lesion" (it's been called all 3 so far!) was about 5cm across.  I have had constant nagging discomfort/pain in upper right-under ribs, really-for about 6 months.  Yes, I put it off and I am still surprised the mass ended up being attached to my right ovary.  Is it possible for this size cyst to push on other organs, creating pain in upper right area?  Or, could this be unrelated?  Anyone else have similar symptoms?  Any advice is appreciated!  Thanks!

I just found out yesterday through a colonoscopy, that not only do I have a cyst pushing on my colon but that my colon is twisted like a pretzel. I have had discomfort for awhile but had a severe attack Christmas day. Bad bloating and sharp shooting pain. Can anyone tell me what kind of treatment to expect? Thanks

I would suggest talking to a doctor if you are having issues having a bowel movement.  This can be several different issues but could be a cyst. If you are having issues going, try eating lots of foods with fiber and whole grains, plenty of fluids, and exercise.  If none of this helps I would certainly talk to your doctor.

I think I have a cyst pressing on my colon.  I have a hard time going to the bathroom, bloating, and have had a history of ruptured cysts.  What were your symptoms?  Did it feel like something was blocking you from having a bowel movement?  Thank you so much!!

Ovarian cysts can cause pain in many places.  I have a 8cm cyst and it causes pain in my calf as it is resting on my sciatica nerve.  I am anxious to see what you find out at your appointment.  You have found a wonderful place to seek answers and awesome women here who know what you are going through.  Praying for you.  Keep us posted!

I pray for all the ladies that post here. Scary times brought you here.

It seems we are doomed to have the girl parts malfunction. It is very common but fixable.

Read my surgery story in my profile. I would call it the worst case scenario for ovarian cysts that are benign but demand surgical removal. Many woman have benefited from this story since it answers many of the questions that keep you from sleeping at night. Best wishes to you!

Possible? Absolutely. My cyst was pressing on my bowels so much than when my surgeon met with my husband while I was in recovery he said, "I don't know how she went to the bathroom."

Also it can send pain signals to far distant places than where the cyst resides.
