pelvic pain post menstruation

i have suffered chronic pelvic pain post menstruation for many years. i am currently under a gynaecologist. for a few years i was treated for endometriosis without diagnosis and put on the oral contaceptive pill 3 monthly, then break for a week.  with no improvement, i saw another gynaecologist who performed a dignostic laparoscopy which proceeded to right ovarian cystectomy for a 5 cm haemoragetic cyst.  my pain is still the same, occuring at exactly the same time, 5 days after menstruation.  this pain is severe, for which i have to sit on the toilet and feels like my bowels are involved, yet still relates to my cycle.  the pain affects my sleeping and lasts on average 2 weeks, even though i have restarted my oral contraceptive pill.  please, do you have any idea what this could be, as it is affecting my life and making me depressed.

Hi and welcome.  How long ago was your cyst removed?  It could be scar tissue that is causing the pain.  Have you had your bowels checked?  It is possible that you may have another cyst.  You should make an appointment with your new gynecologist to see what is going on.  Ask for a transvaginal ultrasound.  Good luck!!
