No flash backs but nightmares

Hello I was recently diagnosed with PTSD after having a suicidal brake down because of the zoloft I was taking I have seen some forums talking  about flash backs yet I have not had one I thought I saw my dads ex-wife my old stepmother that put me through hell but I looked again and she was not there I want to know if that was a flashback and if it was not can I go through this without seeing a flashback I've recently had a nightmare involving the ex wife and is that normal. Please give me some answers I know people tell me what she did to wasn't a big deal but they do not know what happened I would get into but I can't remember alot of it and when I do I have anxiety attacks please confirm if I really really have PTSD I'm so confused and scared.

Hi
Listen to your mind. It is trying to tell you something. If you have unresolved issues with your stepmother that "put you through hell", it stands to reason she might just pop up and say "Hey!" "I not going away".
You need to see a professional, not a psychiatrist (MD). See a therapist that does EMDR, and DNMS if possible. The DNMS helps with childhood stuff.

i have PTSD also and i take 50 mg. of zoloft. i also suffer from flashbacks and nightmares that reoccur often usually normal to have this happen to me and when i dream i dream of combat you should try to identify what triggers your symptoms ok :)
