Can one combat incidence of consequence still cause problems after 40 years.

i used to go to the VA for group counseling but that was a long time ago now i just go and see the psychiatrist :)

Gosh guys I am sorry, I agree with drifter and paranoid  that you can indeed still suffer the consequences of trauma many years later, did you recieve enough counselling help at the time, I know its differant now,it may not have been so available then.Have you thought to seek some help now ?

i dream of combat every night like it was just yesterday 15 years later i still smell the gas they dropped on us, confusion, disorientation that day will live with me for the rest of my life :)

If it was traumatic enough and you didn't cope with it and overcome it after all that time I would say yes it's possible.
