havent thought of arthritis. i am only 42 and this came on suddenly. i dont have insurance so i have no pcp. i will do a little googling. thanks!
Have you been tested for Arthritis? I would see your PCP and then maybe a Rhumatologist. Take care, Mollyrae
oh goodness. i made it sound worse than it is. i had my back go out about 15 years ago and that was the worst pain ever. i was in constant pain and it was impossible to get comfortable. this is only really bad that first sit down after standing awhile. once i get moving or if i try to stretch its pretty good. the leg is a little achy and weak on my mile walk and i dont sleep on that side. once work is over and on my days off i feel close to normal. i remember from that old back injury that one doctors visit wasnt enough and i also had a bunch of expensive tests only to be given some exercises and a huge bill. it did nothing to help my pain which finally went away after 6 months. i know a doctor is the best option and if it was one of my kids we would be there no matter what the cost. maybe after back to school shopping is over and the annual dental visits there will be something left. in the meantime i will learn to hop and prop myself in a corner at work. the only really bad part is i must stretch before a bathroom break so i can sit down. i tell my coworkers if i dont come back send help! they think i am joking. thanks for the reply tuck!
Your pain sounds as you describe it horrific. I am sorry nothing is relieving it for you. I wish I could tell you without reservation what is going on but I can't. You don't have to have a traumatic event to injury a muscle, tendon or ligament. You may even have turned or laid wrong in your sleep. They may become inflamed or irritated from over use or by a turn or twist that you do every day.
The pain you describe may be associated with you one of the ligaments, tendons or muscles which attach or run through or near the groin area and the pain can travel down the inner leg. That is only one possibility. Rest, ice and NSAID can be effective. I would be cautious in purchasing home ultrasound equipment. Your money maybe better spent on a physicians consultation.
This has been going on for two months and if you have been "treating" it without releif it is time to have a medical evaulation. I do feel that is the best course of action at this time. And I am sorry for your pain. Please keep us posted and let us know how you are doing. We'll be thinking of you. Take care, Tuck
