HI,
I just got my patch refill today. I was having anxiety about my insurance co.allowing the switch to changing the patch at 48 hours instead of 72. Becuase I was getting w/'ds at the 60 hour mark.
The prescription was filled without any insurance issue. Except I was given a brand called Aveva, Distrubited by Teva and its a Nitto Denka Co. Never heard of this brand. I did a search here and nothing came up except the Teva generic of clonipin.
Last month, my first month on the patch, I was using the Mylan brand and I was switched to every 48 hours. But after reading the archives here, some people were not very happy with the brand. (not all, some) Im just wondering if that brand is why they faded so bad at 60 hours.
I just opened one of the Aveva's to see what kind apatch it is. it looks like the same rubber type as the Mylan was. I dont see any gel. I cant open it all the way as I am not due a change till tomorow.
I would say I was happy with the Mylan, but maybe I dont know any better being on them for only one month and that was the first month on the patch system. I asked my pharmcist if he can order the Mylan if I like them better and he said he can no long get the Mylan. This is at a Rite Aid pharmacy.
If it turns out I dont like this brand, Maybe next month I'll call ahead and see if they can order the Sandos(sp) brand everyone speaks so higly of. I havent tried the gel type, well, once in the hospital, it was only a 50mcg, not the 75 that I take now.
I'll let you folks know what I think of it and if any one has experience with this brand Aveva, let me know.
