Hi there,

There are apparently a number of things that can cause a headache.
Two types of headaches are a stress headache and a sinus headache.
I also get headaches sometimes from msg. Thankfully, I don't get migraine
headaches. " Common causes of headache include stress ; tension ;
anxiety; allergies; constipation; coffee consumption; eyestrain; hunger;
sinus pressure; muscle tension; hormonal imbalances; trauma to the head;
nutritional deficiencies; the use of alcohol , drugs, or tobacco; fever;
and exposure to irritants such as pollution, perfume, or aftershave lotions."
Headaches can also be a sign of an underlying health problem. People
who suffer from frequent headaches may be reacting to certain foods
and additives."  All the information in the quotations is from the book
Prescription for Nutritional Healing ( 4th Edition) author is Phyllis A. Balch,
CNC., copyright 2006 . This book is printed in the United States and it is
a wonderful resource. Personally, I get a lot of sinus headaches. I find
having a hot shower helpful followed by Advil Migraine gel tablets ( 2)
250 milligrams and then lying down in bed usually with an ice pack under
my neck and lying very still waiting out the headache.  According to the
book I just mentioned, " For headaches caused by sinus congestion, try
self-massage. By applying pressure to specific areas of the head, you can
open up the sinuses and ease tension. Rub the area surrounding the bones
just above and below the eyes, and massage the cheeks directly in line with these points. ( These are the sinus pockets) Lean you head forward
slightly to facilitate sinus drainage. Applying heat to the sinuses, either with
compresses or with steam inhalation, can also be beneficial. " In this same
book on pgs 458-459 is a list of all types of headaches and there are an
awful lot, the symptoms of each headache listed, the causes and triggers
of each of these kinds of headache and the treatment.  I received this
book as a gift from my sister, but I can't tell you how many times I go to
this book. It is like the best resource for nutritional healing I have ever owned.  Be well,  Eve.

As already stated, there are many reasons for them. (Hundreds)
Where does your head hurt? Top back, lower back? Front near temples, front over eyes, behind eyes, etc.
Those different locations potentially mean different things. Then, for each determined cause, there are multitudes of actions to take, to help that condition.

One of the most overlooked: Look at your work/school station ergonomics. Also, lighting as it may relate to eye strain.

There are many causes.  How old are you?  I take 600 mg of ibuprofen for headaches when I get them.  Mine are from sinus pressure usually.

They can come from food allergies or tension of hangovers, other causes.  You gave no age, history, or anything.
