Arm and hand tingling

For the past 3 days I have been experiencing tingling from the middle of my left forearm to my hand with mild pain for absolutely no reason. I am in very good health except for the fact that I smoke and had tendon surgery on the pinky in my right hand. Any idea on what could be the cause?

Hi elbroom,

First, I want to welcome you to the Pain Management Forum and let you know that we are glad you found this Forum. I want to let you know that there are NO Doctors on this Forum, only CP  {Chronic Pain}  Patients that help each other with our OWN expertise and experiences that we have developed through our OWN CP Issues.

I'm so VERY sad that you experiencing this pain and tingling in your arms and hands. I was experiencing ths VERY same symptoms that you are and mentioned it to my PM {Pain Management} Doctor and he did an MRI of my neck and middle back and discovered that I had 2 moderate bulging discs in my neck and 2 moderate and 1 extreme bulging discs in my middle back.  The bulging discs in my neck was what caused the pain and tingling in my arms and hands. :{  We sdid the steroid shots in my neck and that relieved the pain and tingling in my arms and hands.

I HOPE that you will check with your Doctor and se what he thinks and have some tests done as this DEFINITELY sounds like it COULD be possible nerve problems that is caused by bulging discs OR maybe something TOTALLY different.  EITHER way you NEED to get this checked out!!

I wish you the VERY best and HOPE that you will keep us informed on what is happening with you as we tend to WORRY about yhe people that post on here!!

I'll be looking for your update.  Best Wishes.....Sherry  :)
