Sorry I've been away for a while. I took human anatomy and 3 law courses this semester. I don't remember the law courses at all, anatomy is a beast.
The cryo ablation worked well. It took about two months for the pain to go away. No complications.
It is not a bad proceedure at all, recovery can be strange at times as everything sorts itself out but nothing to worry about if you're having it done.
Unfortunately it seems my genitofemoral nerve is also entrapped and I am trying to convince the surgeon to ablate it. I discovered this on an accident prone day. I bruised the metatarsals in my foot twice, once by dropping a window on it... that's what the sticks were for I learned (Thought the cedar was there for scent not support).
Then I picked up a bag of books and thought I tore myself a new hernia. My pain doctor couldn't believe one person could be accident prone. But it's a nerve not a hernia under the mesh thank God. So it should go fine. I'll let everyone know how it goes in case somone else is having it done and wants to know what it's like.
Nuerontin and nerve blocks are slowly helping my hands and neck with the nerve damage pain. It is taking a high dose but other than a bit of confusion and worse than usual recall it's not so bad.
I'll try and be around more this summer.
