False Positive Darvocet Test

My husband took a UA at work and it came back positive for Darvocet...which isn't correct:  The meds he has taken in the last 30 days are Flexeril for pulled back muscle, Ibuprophen, Tylenol, Ceftin (Antibiotic) due to a tooth being pulled the absecessed and Lortabs. Can any of these give a false positive for the Darvocet. And how can I prove it to his work place.

Darvocet is a completely different drug than any you mentioned. Did any of the other drugs come back on the results or just the darvocet. If not then it is easy for them to assume it was a mistake and not his urine that was tested. They DO make mistakes!
Also there is a generic for the darvocet so you may have not noticed it you were looking over his medications. Propoxyphene is the generic.

im sorry I dont know the answer to your question..but i did want to comment... i honestly dont know why they even use urine tests anymore...there are Sooooooo many errors on those its ridiculous. And the doctors seem to look at the test results as if they are gospel and have no room for error. I am astounded at the # of cases I have heard of that either have a drug showing up in someone that they NEVER took,  or the absence of one being there that should have shown up.  It also aggravates me very much that these pain doctors (The Pill Nazi's) can pretty much ruin your life all because of a urine test. I really think they need to find a better mode of testing that has almost nil margin of error.
