Thanks for your reply. I did put them in the trunk so they wouldn't get stolen. However, the down side to that is that they were out of sight, out of mind so to speak.
The pharmacist told me the medication would be ok - the adhesive might be damaged from the heat.
Believe me, I will take care not to do that again!
I would contact your pharmacy and explain what happened...
The key is though not just for the heat/cold issue...but you have to gaurd this type of medication with your life so to speak. What is worse is it could have been stolen.
Dr.s who prescribe powerful narcotics to us expect us to take extremely good care of them and if we don't...they can easily decide to not prescribe them to us anymore.
So...I would not attempt to use them until you have spoken with the pharmacist. Hopefully something can be worked out so you don't end up losing that entire prescription...

They are safe to use, however the effectiveness will be degraded or non-existent. Those patches do not do well under high heat. Try to turn them in at the drugstore for new ones. Although not strictly in accordance with regulation they will sometimes do this.
