I'm sorry, but I don't know of ANY legitimate Dr. who would ask a patient to go out and solicit for paitents on the internet...

I would caution ANYONE to not write this person or attempt to see this Dr. That is about as fishy as it gets!

These days the reputable and good PM Drs. are filled up months in advance and they only take so many patients a day as my Dr. spends a lot of time 30 min to an hour with everyone, even when I've been going there for 7 years now! He is not shuffling them through like some pill mill just to get money...

Sorry, this is just bad news all the way around....

I had to really fight to get these doctors to talk to one another. If you have a problem, talk to the hospital director or his staff and INSIST these doctors talk with one another. What one doctor may no see, the other might. Depending on your history or the doctors education about keeping updated with the latest medical treatment, many doctors don't stay in touch with the latest treatments because the might still be 'experimental' but could work in your case. I went through a few 'experimental' treatments but didn't work for me. When I had one doctor mention the piriformis muscle/syndrome, he told me there was a lot of questions in the medical community and many doctors did not recognize this area of pain issues.
That has changed now so keep yourself informed and GET THEM ON THE SAME PAGE. They are not in your shoes to understand what is going on. The more doctor talk with one another, the more they can learn, IF THEY WANT TO! Keep fighting and stay strong, there is an answer out there!

ACTUALLY the 100 mg morphine er 3x a day seemed to manage the pain better than the Opana er 40mg every 12 hours I find even during work i'm in alot of pain as with the morphine at least during work the pain was somewhat under controll untill starting to close the kitchen up the PAIN comes back w/a vengeance! either way they don't last? They say it usually should last for at least 8-12 hours but it sure as hell it does'nt!! I really dont know what to do?

You're going from 300 mg of morphine to 40 mg of Opans ... that seems like a big difference. have you looked @ any conversion charts?  You could also check with your pharmacist about the conversion.  I was tried on hP Opans several months ago but it wasn't effective for me.  My pain management physician prefers it to other medications, not sure why.  He mentioned it @ yesterday's appointment & I remindef him it wasn't the best fit for me.

Don't know if it will help any but I insisted my pm doctor talk to my surgeon and any other doctor I had treatment from. I also called my surgeon and had him talk to my pm doctor. Apparently they got through to one another and that furthered my treatment.
