Thank you for being here. I was hit by a car as a pedestrian 26 years ago. Had many surgeries & hundreds of procedures. Left with a few chronic conditions, including neuralgia & truly unbearable pain. I’ve been a the fentanyl patch for years & on oxycodone, but have been trying to get to the lowest amount possible. I’m off the fentanyl patch entirely, as of 2 months ago. I am 59 yo, Caucasian with Celtic ancestry, & my comorbs are left, prefrontal closed head injury, neuropathy in both legs, acute interstitial cystitis of bladder (10 + surgeries w/Medtronic stimulation device implanted), fibromyalgia, & deteriorating disks C1-C2, L4-L5.
I have become IMMUNE to oxycodone. After 25 years of taking it, it’s not working very well. I don’t want fentanyl. I don’t want morphine because it makes the people who take it for a long time crazy. QUESTION- is there a medication SIMILAR to oxycodone BUT DIFFERENT ENOUGH to fool my brain into thinking it’s taking a brand new drug?
The pain is like a shark swimming under my feet, just waiting for my dose to wear off. And THEN it takes a full 2 hours to get the pain back under control.
Btw, FU, CDC GUIDELINES! Two of my disabled friends killed themselves after the CDC “guidelines” caused every doctor to run for the hills, without ONCE reading it’s own fatally flawed data.
