Sorry you are having so much pain. I would be getting it checked out again, go to your doctor and tell them everything that is going on. My son just had surgery and I know the bills are going to be so high but he had to have it done so he will healthy so If I am in dept for the rest of my life that is fine as long as my son is healthy. I wouldn't worry about it you need to worry about your self.
When I was on a birth control pill, not sure what one it was but I was on my period for 4 months, it never stopped. I was so tired all the time and bleeding all the time I just stopped the pill and then got better after that. I would talk to your doctor about a different pill, maybe your body just can't handle this one, I am not a doctor just giving you some ideas.
Good luck to you,
Jamie
Just one more thing. It's very sweet and considerate of you to worry about your Mom's finances. But let her worry about that for now. You'll get your chance to worry about money all too soon.
Good luck and let us know what happens.
Maura: Do not worry about the money. Yes, money is tight all over. But as a mom of 3, I can tell you, nothing is more important to your mother than your well being. Your mother wants the best for you. Let her worry about the money. You worry about feeling better.
Ask your doctor to switch you to Paxil or another SSRI medication. For some people SSRI's stop working over time and you need to either find a different way to cope or switch meds. Prozac works well for a lot of people but most people I talk to and myself found it to be terrible. It made me very depressed a couple of months into treatment. Paxil seemed to work fine but my anxiety/depression comes from my pain. So I treat the pain and thus treat the mental health issues at the same time.
If you have endo, there are other treatments you can do other than YAZ. There are quite a few horrible side effects that some people can get while on it, and it clearly doesn't sound like it's doing the job it needs to be doing. From talking to others that have Endo, the best thing you can do to treat it is to not have a period at all. At your next appointment, bring up your concerns about it and see if there is something else they could give you to help try and treat it.
About the money problem. Your health is extremely important and money should never be a factor in something like that. If left untreated or looked at, something else may develop that may cost a lot more later on down the road.
I have went to my parents. I have another docters appointment sometime soon. Last year I ended up in the ER with pain soo bad I was trowing up and passing out. That was when the ER docter diagnosed me with PID. Then on a check up to a REAL docter I got inspected better. That was when they said it was either a ruptured cyst or endometiosis. Well when I went to the OBGYN they diagnosed me with the endometriosis. Now my mom doesnt want to spend thousands of dollars on medical bills and I feel bad going back..
Oh you poor thing. You are way too young for all this trouble. First thing you need to do is tell your parents. And you need to go back to your doctor. Sometimes it's easiest to write everything that is going on down. That way you don't forget anything. Also write questions you may have for the doctor.
This doesn't sound good. So the sooner you tell your parents and the sooner you get into the doctor, the better. You may also want to visit the Womens Health Forum:
