Is it safe to take aceiteminophen chronically?

Hi all! I was just wondering if it was safe to take aceiteminophen chronically if prescribed in conjunction with a narcotic by an orthopedic doctor for degenerative disc disease (norco 7.5/325)? I have been taking the medication for about a month now and I'm starting to worry about my liver b/c I see all of the warnings! I never exceed 1000 mg of tylenol in one day with this medication. Please let me know if I am at risk! I have spoken with many pharmacists and none of them seem to think it is a problem but I just wanted to hear from people who have had personal experience!

My orthopedist swears up and down that there is no pain medicine with ibuprofen or aspirin in it. (I know that isn't true b/c I have looked it up on the internet!) I'm gonna try my luck and plead my case that I don't want to take tylenol with my PM doctor! Wish me luck!

What you are taking is fine.  You just need to be careful in taking other things with Tylenol in them, like cold medicines.  You could ask your doctor for a pain med without the Tylenol. I am not a fan of Tylenol. It makes me sick to my stomach and I don't find it all that helpful for pain control.  I prefer ibuprofen as it also works on inflammation.
