Is there not an actual Pain Management Dr. on MH?

I was just curious about having an actual Board Certified Pain Management Dr. to post on a few threads once in awhile...

No offense to the other Drs....but I see that their backgrounds are things like Pediatrics or OB/GYN....so it seems strange that they are the ones answering questions on here...

Obviously I also enjoy the other members and their thoughts...but I think that many come on the boards to ask an actual Dr. a question that refers to Pain Management specifically...

to try and better respond to your question let me ask: have you seen any responses from these drs. who " it seems strange that they are the ones answering questions on here" --any responses that share or do much else than list medical "jargon" anyone can get from The Book. PDR--etc.    I checked out a bunch and they are just repeats of the same old ****.
And they seem so disconnected from the poster. What do ya think?   omhome

alright let's all be honest here ok? Is anyone else suspicious about the "reality" of the multitude of questions posed asking diagnosis. Read the descriptors of the posters---the majority just say Basically Nothing about themselves. Unusual. Am i just being paranoid or do a lot of the "names" seem computer generated or made up like a blahblah123   or xyz kind of stuff. Should i seek professional help? HA!  HA!   omhome

I'm not good at computer stuff either- have a sibling who knows much more than I do.  But  I know how to start a thread and am willing to post the suggestion in the section I mentioned above.

i am not good at computer stuff. You seem knowledgable and interested in this community. I would ask you to do just what you suggested (add the word chronic) for our community. Could you be willing to do that--it might just solve the situation!  Thanks livinginhope--------omhome

Weathergirl- this community is for patients to respond.  There is another side of Medhelp where questions can be geared to professionals.  But, it's pretty amazing that some professionals volunteer their time to try to help non-paying people with their issues posted on some of the patient forums.  Also, don't forget, if they are answering questions from their home page, they may not even know what forum they are answering on, only that they were willing to tackle someone's question in an area that interests them.

Weathergirl and omhome:

Some things even doctors who don't specialize in pain management  (or who don't suffer chronic pain themselves) suggest to people on here may be found valuable to those who have been responded to.  Having a pain management doctor volunteer their time to come and answer questions would be awesome, though is not to be expected in a non-professional  patients' community.

Additionally, if I may offer a suggestion, you might suggest the name of this community be changed to incorporate the word 'chronic' in it so those who have been suffering pain for a lesser length of time might not post here quite as often.  There's a section for that here:
