I had the injections in 2009 and all they did for me was give me a headache for two weeks, and cost ALOT of money
He can refuse and doesn't need a reason for it. Get the injections and go from there. If you can not do it, then you just need to follow up with your general practitioner. Good luck! God Bless you.
It's legal for your doctor to not treat you at all, for whatever reason he/she chooses, just like you have the right to choose to go to that particular doctor or not. Your religious beliefs have nothing to do with it at all. I do know some pain clinics that only do "interventional' pain medicine-meaning they only do injections, and other similar procedures. They don't prescribe narcotic pain medications at all. If this doctor's rule is no injection, then no narcotic, and you don't agree with it, then simply go elsewhere. It sounds like that's the best choice to make in this instance anyway!
Good Luck,
sean
May I ask in what state do you live?
And I've never heard of a religion only preventing someone from getting injections but then being ok with other medications.
Do you mind sharing what religion this is and what about a spinal injection they reject?
I've heard of Christian Scientists that are against all medical intervention as they believe sickness of any kind is an "illusion" and can be helped/cured by prayer.
Scientology also has views on medications so it would be the same whether injected or taken orally.
