I had a spinal tap to withdraw spinal fluid to test the fluid for pressure and for diseases. The needle was guided in by Fluoroscopy. Tuck is right It is like xray to guid the needle to a certain area.
Hi Zoe,
Fluoroscopy treatment is not a term I have heard used independently. For example when I had several SIJ injection a fluoroscopy image was used to guide the needle into the joint. It's similar to a x-ray.
The definition of fluoroscopy is a radiological technique in which a fluoroscope is used to visually examine the body or an organ. (A fluoroscope utilizes an X-ray tube and fluorescent screen, with the area to be viewed placed between the screen and the tube.)
I am guessing that he will use this procedure to visualize some portion of your body, possibly to aid in a treatment.
Hope this helps.

The internet is a great place to find information regarding the treatment. You will get more information there than you would probably find here. Just google the words...
