wondering

if I haven't taken my pain meds for a couple days do to me driving hundreds of miles, I had to do urine test, and it came back negative.  Will my doctor drop me without an explanation?

Its very possible. Some doctors have a no tolerance policy and won't even let you explain yourself. But yet there are also some doctors that may very well understand. Only you know your doctor. Plus, if you have a good relationship with him and never had any problems then he might let it slide this one time. But if I may offer a suggestion, if this happens again, tell him BEFORE you take the test, and try to have some sort of proof, like maybe gas receipts or something. I know it may seem like overkill, but better to be prepared and not need it, then to need it and not have it. Good luck to you. Let us know how it goes.

The dr does have enough info to drop your meds however if you explain what was going on I don't think there will be a problem tell them the truth.
