My recent pain management doc. has quit. She said she was going to retire, later to find she lost her right to practice. I have had nothing but trouble finding a new doc. I would have thought my primary doc would help me out until I can find a new place to go. I have been to a couple places and some of them have refused to help me because of the meds I am on. I have been on these same meds for about 8 years now. I have had a cervical operation in 2009, ending up with 4 cadaver bones, 4 plates & 20 screws in my neck, I have had thoracic surgery in 2008, a tumor remover from my epidural column t3-t11, had a 2 level lumber fusion , in 1998 2 disc removed replaced with 4 cages L5-L5, L5-S1. Last in 2011 I had a clean up job on my lumbar , removing scar tissue and bone spurs. I am in constant chronic pain and my quality of life is terrible at this point. I am only 42 yrs old now, the first operation I was a month after my 28th b-day. I really need help in finding a place or a doc that will help me.I live in a small town in Ohio and there isn't anywhere close, unless I want to drive 120 miles or more per round trip. With the the way the new laws are in Ohio it has every doc scared to death to help someone, if someone knows of a place or a doc is out here close to my area please let me know if you are willing to help or know where help is. I can go into further exactly where in Ohio I am and what meds i was on after I get some feedback. My old pain doc did give me a 30 day supply of meds, but never faxed my records to the places that I was referred to, so I finally got a call and was told to drive to her office and pick up my records, leaving me with 8 business days to find a new doc before i was out of meds.
