I don't know what I did to my upper back

I need  an exercise that will help me. I think I pulled a muscle somewhere between my shoulder blade or underarmpit. It's getting worse. It happened 2 weeks ago While carrying some heavy bags. I experience weakness in right arm and hand and looks like pain is starting around my shoulder blade area. I can't rest it as much as I want to since I have 2 youngs kids to take care of so please if anyone can suggest exercise to strengthen this part I would appreciate it. I see my doc next monday.

I would wait and see your Doctor for exercises but in the meantime you can take ibuprofen for the inflammation and swelling and use a chest wrap to support the muscle while it is healing.
I hope your feeling better soon. I know it must be very painful to deal with your two small children.
i hope your Doctor will help with the pain, let us know how it goes:)

Hi Chokato,

I would not advise exercise until you are sure that you do not have a more serious injury. I encourage you to consult with your PCP.

That fact that your pain and symptoms are worsening is of concern. Normally pulls, strain and similar injuries wil begin to improve in a few weeks. Please don't risk more damage. My suggestion is that you rest the area until you are able to see your physician for a diagnosis.

Please keep in touch. I will look forward to your updates. I sincerely hope you will be feeling better soon.

Take Care,
~Tuck.
