Not sure if you are still on since this is such a dated thread but I'm curious to know what happened.
All the best,
Sam
THE ONLY WAY I COULD GET OFF OXY WAS TO GO BACK TO PERCS FOR A WEEK THEN 3 OR 4 SUBS . YOU WILL FEEL NO W/D SYMTOMS AT ALL . AFTER THAT JUST BE STRONG AND HIT SOME MEETINGS . DO NOT LET THE DOCTOR GIVE YOU ALOT OF SUBS AT ONCE OR LONG TERM . THEY WORK ALMOST 24 HOURS EASY .
Just a suggestion but you could try Tramacet. The first time I tried it I didn't need or want my oxy. It is an opiate but , at least in Canada, it is a regular srcipt - not a "controlled" substance requiring a triplicate script which some doctors refuse to fill.
Both me and my doctor were surprised that it replaced my oxycontin - but it did and I am now 8 days free from the Tramacet. I am clean of opiates at this time and I really owe it to the Tramacet.
Dont even think that suboxone is the answer for you. It would be a serious mistake. and it is as hard, if not harder, to quit than oxy or methadone....and it is worthless for pain control.....
I am so sorry for your dilemma. Uncontrolled pain is horrible. I agree with Mollyrae. When I goggle "Oxycontin in Turkey" I also get all kinds of sites.
I would keep looking for a pharmacy that can help you or a physician that understands English well. We had many international students from Turkey that worked for us on a seasonal bases. They were all kind and good workers but some did not understands the our language as well as others did. I think you have a communication issue.
Please let us know how you are doing. Take care. Tuck
I find it so odd that they would not know. I Googled:
"Oxycontin products in the Country Turkey" and got all kinds of info on getting the product.
It seems that you might want to try another Pharmacy or Doctor over there, it is a common drug and from the sounds of Google, it is used in Turkey often.
Good luck.......................
Thanks - But when I asked english speaking
pharmacist to look in his book and on
his computer they can't find Oxycontin...
Strange for such an advanced medical country.
I have not asked yet for him to look for
the Detox med Suboxen... So ?
Thanks for checking! I have 1 mth supply coming
from Ireland in about 10 days about when I run out
using only 1 - 20mg a day-- Panic :(
Regards,
Bill
Hello and sorry for the troubles you are having. I have done some research for you and found a web site that imports Oxycontin to Turkey.
Tradekey.com
With a prescription, you should be able to get your meds at a local Turkey Pharmacy.
I will look further.
Take care and good luck, Mollyrae
