Pain Throughout Body

I am a 22 year old male very active and have been plagued with more and more symptoms over the past couple years.

All started with pain in the ribs mostly on the left side.
Since then I have developed the following:
- left foot and ankle pain
- both knees are in pain especially when running
- pain in thighs
- left arm pain
- pain in shoulders
- pain in neck
- head pain scalp tenderness
- pressure behind left eye and left eye twitching
- extreme fatigue at times where I can barely keep my eyes open
- left arm falling asleep
- left forearm and hand pain
- overall the muscles feel weaker and less endurance before the pain

Please let me know if there is any advice you have to help. Thank you

Hello and Welcome.

I am so sorry to hear about all the generalized pain you are experiencing, especially at such a young age.

Wide-spread pain can sometimes be a systemic issue. What physicians have you consulted? A rheumatologist may be beneficial. I would want my physicians  to rule out such things a RA (rheumatoid arthritis). There are multiple other systemic conditions that may be responsible for your pain.... so please have these possibilities looked into.

Internal Medicine Physicians are also good in my opinion at sorting through lists of symptoms. It's also possible that you could have several things going on and not just one.

You may also find good suggestions on our Undiagnosed Symptoms Forum. Here's the link:

You are always welcome here..... it just never hurts to cover all your bases. At the very least your symptoms should be treated until a reason can be found.

Please let us know how you are doing. I'll look forward to hearing from you.

Take Care,
~Tuck
