Hi,
I am 27 yr Old Man. For Last some days I had been suffering from Lower back Pain and That Pain going to my Left Leg. Stiffness in Cuff mussel.

I went to a Neurologist, he asked me to Some Test.

a) NCV of both Lower Limbs = Normal
b) FBS = 98 (Normal 110)
c) R-A Factor = 8 (Normal 14)
d) CRP =1 (Normal 6)
e) URIC Acid =5.98 (Normal 7)
f) ANA (Anti Nuclear Antibody) = negative

Doctor Said that all is Ok except URIC Acid. as per my age it will be less than 5.
He Prscribe me Gabapine ME,Skelebenz 15 for 20 days.

So, what is the problem ? any internal Problem like Kidney, Stomach etc ?

Your symptoms are characteristic of irritation of the sciatic nerve. Your neurologist should have come to this conclusion in from three to five seconds.

The appropriate evaluation involves an MRI of the lumbar region L1-L5. Preferably using a 3T machine, although a 1.5 T is acceptable.

The problem is generally chronic, although the pain will "flare"  at times. It will get worse.

Motrin or Advil may be helpful. On a short term basis, to relieve pain prednisone is useful, although inappropriate for long term use.

Initial treatment involves approximately six to ten sessions with a rehabilitative specialist, who, after evaluating your MRI, will prescribe specific exercises to relieve compression. This will be the best money you ever spent.

You will have to restrict your lifting for the rest of your life, and when lifing always take care to lift properly.

A tens device is often prescribed to relieve pain.

The pain does not usually respond to opiates.

Avoid riding in a truck where there is "up and down" bouncing. Sitting on an inflatable cushion may help.

A new procedure involves injection of ozone into the interstitial spaces.

Surgical resolution involves a procedure called a laminectomy, where a segment of the cartilidge impinging on the nerve is removed.

Hi, It's not uncommon to feel pain that runs down one leg when you have a pinched nerve in your back. Especially the sciatic nerve. The pain will generally lessen with time given rest to the back. If this is an on-going problem and with that I mean many months, it wouldn't be a bad idea to see an Orthopedist and have some imaging done.

For now, I think that rest along with a good anti-inflammatory and the meds your Doctor gave you wouldn't be a bad idea.

My best,
