Really pain ful

I broke my wrist in October it has mended with a lump but i get like burning in my arm sometimes like a electric shock i just have to catch my arm not my wrist even in bed it hurts  also my wrist is swollen on the oposite side to where i broke it

Hi Ganny,

I am sorry to hear the results of your wrist fracture. It must be painful for you.

The "burning" and "electrical shock" sensations you are experiencing are most likely due to nerve involvement. You may have a damaged or inflamed nerve... or it may even be entrapped. The "bump" may be scar tissue caused from the injury or surgery.

If it were my wrist I would insist on an MRI. A second opinion may be beneficial too. That second opinion would be a consult with a physician that specializes in treating wrist injuries/conditions.
