Right Hip and leg pain

Hello
I am a new member, I have suffered terrible pain in my right hip that travels down my leg leaving me with a pins and needles sensation in my right calf and ankle also a dragging feeling in my groin. I have been to the doctors but I only get told its nerve pain I take Amitriptyline 20 mg's and Dihydrocodeine 30mg's for this but the pain is constant and excruciating at times also my mobility is now being affected as I am finding it difficult to walk without the aid of a walking stick can any one help?

Hi Lilith56,

I'm wondering if the Doctor has done any lower back imaging for you. It sounds like a classic case of a disc problem but then again I could be wrong as I am not a Doctor.

The groin issue makes me think it not the back. Hernias can produce these types of symptoms as well.

Go back to your Doctor or even a new one for a second opinion and request them to do some x-rays or other imaging.

Good luck to you,
Mollyrae
