Sharp Head Pains

I am 15 and ever since I was 9 something weird began happening to me. At times If I sneeze, pick up a heavy object, turn my head moderately fast, or even just looking to the side, and some other things, I get this horrible sharp pain in the back left of my head. Im fairly sure it's always in about the same spot. The pain is worst right away then slowly dulls away and can take up to 20 seconds till its gone. The best way I can describe the pain, is that it feels like a blood vessel is literally bursting in my head. Sometimes I even cringe and my knees buckle. I would love to know the cause, what this is, and any possible cure.

Hi Ethan. I am so sorry that your going thur this. Toomanyadvil is right, you need to talk with a Doctor. And it does sound like a cervical (neck) problem. What does your mom say?    Mollyrae

Hi Ethan

There are no DR's on this forum so no one will be able to give you a specific answer. There are expert forums here at medhelp, If you go to the main forums page they are on the right hand side. Just choose the one that best fits you and you can ask a question.
Just so you are aware, some do cost a fee.
But we are happy to have you here too and will try to give you some ideas as best we can.

Have you consulted a DR about this yet?
If you havent I think it may be a good idea to make an app and just check out there opinionn.

My first thought when reading your post is that it may have something to do with your neck or spine. And by making a quick movement or putting too much weight on your neck or spine it may send a pain message from a nerve in the area and create a bursting feeling of pain.
Of course that is only a guess as I am not too familiar with neck and spinal conditions.
I'm sure some other members will have some other ideas for you also.
But I think you should defenitly have it checked out. It may be something that can be easily stopped.
