Hello Dennis,
Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. I am glad that you found us and took the time to post. I am sorry that you have been experiencing chronic undiagnosed pain for three years.
I assume that when you say bulging you mean of the spinal discs and have had some steroidal injections. Is that correct?
I don't know a lot about PNE but I did do some reading and found that patients usually exhibit pain in the penis, scrotum, labia, perineum, or anorectal region that is aggravated by sitting and relieved by standing. It's usually absent when recumbent or when sitting on a toilet seat. This is usually a clinical diagnosis and based on history. There are other symptoms. This condition seems to rare.
If I thought I had this condition I would research it all I could and see a specialist in the condition. I would think a neurologist would be able to determine if you indeed may have PNE (pudendal nerve entrapment) or PN (pudendal neuralgia). They are similar conditions but different and have different treatments.
I hope you will get to the bottom of your symptoms. Please let us know how you are doing. I will look forward to your updates. Please feel free to ask additional questions.
Best of Luck,
~Tuck
