pain management docs, good idea??

I'm ready to see a doctor, just don't know, which is the right one...I have lower back pain for 20 years.
For the last 6 years after my last child was born, I have pain in my left groin, and since Mai ,this awful pain in my left buttocks.Yesterday I woke up, feeling numb around my lower half, and had this sharp pain going through my butt, back, legs, seemed like all over....
It's hard to choose the right doctor for me, the pain doctor I was looking for, is a Neurologist.
Do pain management docs, invastigate, where the pain is coming from....I  don't really want to be druged up, I just like to take my Advil once in a while...
Thank you

See your Primary Dr. first and he/she will probably order ct scan.  Also, I would see my gynogologist since it actually happened after your last child.

You need to consult your PCP and if needed he/she will refer you to a PMP.
