hi....I too am so sorry for all your problems at times they can become overwhelming especially when dealing with chronic pain. I have the same problems brought about by similar type of work......I have been granted disability(Canada) but it took years to finally get a diagnosis with an MRI and a good doctor to fight for me. Degenerative Disks along with pinched nerves doesn't happen over night, its accumulative. The sciatic pain you are experiencing is one of many symptoms.
Are you on anything for pain? Myself along with many others have gotten relief (for the sciatica) from a medication called Neurontin(Gabapentin) or Lyrica(Pregabalin) you need to talk to a doctor about these meds. They are not narcotics, for sciatica IMO they are much more helpful than narcotics.
Good luck to you dear, don't give up♥

Hello Runt,

Welcome to our Pain Management Forum. I am glad that you posted on our forum but very sorry to hear about your sciatica and the problems you are experiencing.

I don't know the state where you reside. Each sate offer different assistance programs. In my home state of WI there would be assistance for you and your child. I assume you have been to your county Family Service Office. Sometimes it takes more then one, or even two visits and I hope you will return to the offices.

If you are near a larger city there are often free clinics....or clinics that will take you on your ability to pay. It may take a lot of research but there is help available in most instances.

The pain of sciatica can be debilitating. My heart goes out to you and your child. We are here to offer our support. I will you will be active in our community. Often just sharing your chronic pain helps us through the journey.

Best of Luck to You,
~Tuck
