hydrocodone vs hydromorphone

I take hydrocodone nightly and don't take hydromorphone but it showed up on my last urine test.....   I'm highly allergic to hydromorphone.    Would the fact that I've had to take Ibuprofen for sinus headache have anything to do with this showing up???   I also was taking Maxalt and/or Imitrex at the time.   Hydromorphone sends me into anaphalaxis shock within 5 minutes even at the smallest of dosages.... i'm really concerned as to why this has showed up on my urine test...and how?!?!?!?

I would ask my doctor to test me again as it should not have showed up as hydromorphone

Thank you,  I don't see him again until Feb... but I am definitely going to have a major discussion with him about this as he knows I am highly allergic to Hydromorphone.  Thank you for your help.  I am not happy about these results....it appears to me as though someone tampered with them....as this is not the only thing showing up that I do not take.

No one tampered with results.

hydromorphone is an active metabolite of hydrocodone.

"Hey Doctor, did you know that hydrocodone METABOLIZES into hydromorphone? Look, look what I printed out off of Google. I found it here: http://www.mayomedicallaboratories.com/articles/drug-book/opiates.html So, doc, I sure hope you don't think I'm taking hydromorphone on the side. In fact, have the testing company evaluate the QUANTITY of hydromorphone in my urine, and you will see that there is only a small amount, appropriate to what the HC metabolized into."
