Your post hit a personal (nonjudgmental) cord with me. I take 5- 350 norco per day for pain along with a slue of other meds for many conditions. At 34 I constantly worry what I will/should do if I am able to have a baby. Sandee is right when she says, "each woman had to make their own choice to make."
I have to repeat what Sandee said, my advice is to talk to your Ob-Gyn. I have had to tell an Ob-Gyn sensitive information and if you are with the right doctor you should find no judgment with your doc. If you do, and I also have limited insurance, try to find another.
Think about asking your Ob for a recommendation to a primary doc. If you have had back issues in the past pregnancy is a good reason to find out why, discuss med choices ect. Good luck to you and best of wishes.

You will find no judgments here:)
You really need to tell your doctor. I would not worry too much about defects as there are some women who do take this medication during pregnancy for pain control. If you continue to take it though please go through a PM doctor and have them consult with your Ob-Gyn.
I went off all my medications with my pregnancies but it was very tough. Each woman has their own choice to make. If you do decide to take pain medicines though you have to tell your doctor and do it through a PM doctor.
I wish you the best and hope you will stick around:)
