Hello Painvictim:
I am really sorry to hear of your dilemma. Unfortunately, the Doctor was crooked. It seems to be happening more and more these days and as a result it is hurting the chronic pain patient and the good Doctors who help us. I have listed a few Pain Clinics in your area. I would suggest that you start looking immediately. My thoughts are with you.

You are explaining my diagnosis exactly-I began Cymbalta and Lyrica February 2008.It truly helped the nerve pain and brought my muscle pain down to almost manageable. The medication that you are on I would think would be extremely dangerous. They are very addictive and they are only a stop gap for the pain you are going through. Depression is a real waste of time and it pulls you down into a dark and deep. pit. I believe when we grieve for a loved one we are grieving for ourselves. I still expect my beautiful husband to come through the back door with his fishing pole and tackle box. He died at the age of 52. Sometimes I talk to him and know someway that it a good therapy for me. I also read the paper out loud to him.Someday he will know that kept him my life in a healthy-happy-realistic ways. I am beginning PT but Tony tells me not to expect too much and he will not even try to manage my cervical problems only the lumbar ina very passive therapy. I have little hope of this helping. Any suggestions I am happy to hear.My numbers are 559-6417706 and 559-6765512. My circumstances are dire.
I am so blessed with three healthy children 13 GOOD grandchildren, A God that loves me BUT all my energy goes into coping with pain that unbearable. I need to talk to somebody that can relate to my day to day struggle. I truly cannot live like this much longer. Help me
I am so sorry to hear that happen to you. When I got sent to a PMP I had to be referred by my regular doc. Do you have a regular doc? If you do go back to them and tell them what is going on. If not than I would suggest making an appt with a regular doc and telling them. I am sure that if you tell them that they will help you. Good Luck, let us know what is going on O.K. till later montanagurl
Hello Painvictim,
Sorry doesn't seem to be enough for the emotional and physical pain and trauma you are experiencing but I am very sorry. Welcome to our Pain Management Forum. I am glad that you have found us.
I know that there are PM Clinic's in FL. I assume it will take some time to get an appointment but don't delay. Make calls now and determine who will see you the quickest. Explain your dire circumstances. In the meantime call your PCP and discuss your circumstances with him Hopefully he can help you until you are able to get into to see a PMP. Going cold turkey can be dangerous. If all else fails you can visit an ER that may be able to help you in the short term.
I am so very sorry for the lose of your daughter. Children are suppose to out live their parents and you must be devastated. We do have a Grief and Loss Forum at MedHelp. You may also want to visit there. I have been to the site and the members are very informative, warm and supportive. They have all experienced a loss and are suffering with grief.
Please stay with us. I and many others have found this forum to be very supportive and caring. It can be a life line. We are here to support you in anyway that we can. Best wishes and healing are wished for you, Tuck
