pain--upper butt, now groin when sitting

I had pain almost all week in my upper butt area on the left side.  I figured I was having muscle spasms from waking up in the morning with a charley-horse and getting out of bed too fast.  It was worse when sitting, especially when driving.

Today, I still have some pain there; but I seem to have more pain in the groin area now.

Also, at about 1am Saturday morning, I had a burning sensation when urinating and also felt like I needed to go all the time (pressure).  Yet when I tried to go, only a little came out with burning.

Your symptoms sounds as though it could be nerve pain, especially if it is sharp pain - could be related to nerve being obstructed by something in your back. You could have a couple things going on - sounds like you could have urinary infection - can check by urinating in a clean container and pouring in clear glass & holding up to a light - if you see lots of white particals in urine or urine appears cloudy, could be an indication of infection - would need to see doctor as soon as possible so as to prevent it turning into kidney infection, which can be very painful.
