Most of the time they will see you in the office if you call and tell them your having problems. I would call and get in before your out of meds though. If they think that you are just coming in early for more meds chances are they won't give you another script. Hopefully they can help find other alternatives to help wether its an increase in strength or a combo of meds and other treatments. Good luck to you.
Call your pain management specialist and let them know your problem(s). If they won't help you until your next appoitment, then it's time to find a new doctor. If you have a primar care doctor, I'd ask him/her to refer you to a new doctor, and to please help you in the meantime. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!
Sorry your in so much pain, your right pain is no joke as most of us here are well aware of. Your not giving much info as to what is causing your pain just that if I understand you your using more of your percs than prescribed due to increased pain? Have you tried to talk with your PM doctor about something stronger and a different alternative to your pain as there are many ways to treat pain besides narcotics. I have been in a pain management program for several years now and yes they are strict but they have to be because of all the illegal use of pain meds and FDA restrictions etc. My experience is that if I speak with my doctor about what pain I am having he always seems to come up with solutions. Pain management is a progressive issue and sometimes takes several months to come up with a program that works for you. Yes in the meantime you are in pain, I get that and it's very difficult to live with sometime. If you don't have a good relationship with your PM doctor or they don't seem to be able to help you then seek out another PM doctor. This is probably not what you want to hear but this is what we have to do sometime. I wish you the best of luck and hope you feel better soon.
