Thanks for the update. It's so refreshing to have someone post an update. We are grateful.
Yes, the suggested treatment does sound right to me..... especially since it appears to be working. It's important to keep it moving so your joints will freeze up and your muscles won't atrophy. ROM is a good way to do just that .... of course that is as long the ROM is not causing increased pain.
I do hope you have also consulted your physician.According to my calculations this injury is at least eight weeks old. Soft tissue injuries, muscles, ligaments, etc can take significant time to heal. However it's important to make sure that this is not a major injury such as a tear or separation. I still encourage you to consult a medical professional if you have not already done so. I cannot impress upon you the importance of proper, timely treatment. A word of caution, you are getting pretty far out from the initial injury date and in some injuries time is essential.
I hope you will continue to improve and again thank you for the update. Best of luck and I'll look forward to additional progress updates.
Take Care,

Hi stillyokin52,
Welcome to MedHelp's Pain Management Community. I am glad that you found us and took the time to post your concern... but sorry to hear about your painful injury. It sounds promising that you pain has eased. This may be a strain/sprain. Don't think that is a simply DX. Sprain/stains often take time to heal and be painful and bothersome for months.
I would encourage you to continue to research your pain/injured area. Know the anatomy, structure and function of the site. This will allow you to have an intelligent conversation and ask educated questions. Take a list of them with you.
They will probably begin with an x-ray. If it's negative their treatment will be conservative. If that fails they will probably do additional imaging. So ask for a tentative DX, the plan of treatment and the expected outcome.... and how long before your symptoms will resolve.
I hope this has been helpful. I will look forward to your updates. In the meantime be cautious and don't do anything that might aggravate the injury.
Best of Luck to You,
~Tuck
