I think your new Physician may be spot on. Yes I do know about Fibro but let me also provide you with the link to our Fibromyalgia Forum. That Forum is more focused on the actual condition, treatments and so forth than our Pain Mangement Forum. Here it is:

Please know you are always welcome here... I just think the Fibromyalgia Forum may have more answers for you.
From a trusted web-site: "The overwhelming characteristic of fibromyalgia is long-standing, body-wide pain with defined tender points.
The soft-tissue pain of fibromyalgia is described as deep-aching, radiating, gnawing, shooting or burning, and ranges from mild to severe. Fibromyalgia sufferers tend to wake up with body aches and stiffness."
Specific Symptoms Include:
•Body aches
•Chronic facial muscle pain or aching
•Fatigue
•Irritable bowel syndrome
•Memory difficulties and cognitive difficulties
•Multiple tender areas (muscle and joint pain) on the back of the neck, shoulders, sternum, lower back, hips, shins, elbows, knees
•Numbness and tingling
•Palpitations
•Reduced exercise tolerance
•Sleep disturbances
•Tension or migraine headaches
MedHelp also has some great information on this very painful condition. Here's that link:

Not all Medical Providers agree that this is a true diagnosis or that Fibro actually exists. Thankfully those numbers are declining. Still other Providers believe that Fibro exists but in much smaller numbers than is being diagnosed. Some think it's a catch-all for Physician that are either at a loss for a diagnosis or simply do not conduct what is often a tedious, expensive and lengthy search for answers.
I absolutely believe that Fibro is a true condition. There are treatments that can help with the symptoms. It's very important to find support and chat with others that share in your diagnosis. It's just as important to build a thorough understanding of the condition and how it effects you. That will also help you discover what treatments may be best for you. Not everyone has the exact same symptoms but everyone has a similar set of symptoms. You may also discover that what is an effective treatment for someone else may not be an effective treatment for you.... and vise versa Like all pain management it's a trial and error process to determine what is most effective in controlling your specific pain.
I wish you the very best and am delighted to hear that you now have a supportive and understanding Physician. I hope you'll let us know how you are doing and please check out the link to our Fibro Forum and information link.
I'll look forward to your updates. If you have additional or specific questions please feel free to ask. If I can't help I'll do my best to find a sourse that can.
Take Care,
~Tuck
