ultram ot tramadol

has anyone had any experience with this drug? I just got it prescribed to my for my migraines, but it doesnt seem to be  working....

My neurologist said that Tramadol isn't really useful for migraines.  That said, since I deal with FM I tried Tramadol for that pain.  I took it for a while, but even at the lowest dose possible I ended up having speech problems related to taking the Tramadol.  My PCP said she doesn't like Tramadol and that a lot of people have trouble taking Tramadol.

I never had any luck with Tramadol. It actually caused me horrible headaches. I now take Topamax for my headaches with much better luck.

I have taken this medication for years. You have to be careful of seizures with this medication. With high doses it can cause them.
I am surprised you were prescribed this for migraines as alot of people say it causes them headaches me included sometimes. What dose and MG are you on?
I take two or three 50mg when needed. It works well with my other medications but not so much alone.
