un,bearable pain in right shoulder going down my arm

I have had pain in my right shoulder going down my right arm and numbness in my thumb, its been happening about 2 weeks now and doesn't seem to be getting any better. Could you please comment and let me no what's happening thanks

Is this a sudden pain, or pain from an injury of some sort? If it's a sudden pain that you have no idea how or why it's happening, then I would see your doctor pronto (asap). If it's an ongoing problem that's driving you bonkers, then a referral to a pain specialist is in order. Either way, chronic pain can be devastating in many different aspects of your life, and it should be treated promptly. Good luck,

I'm pretty sure it's nerve damage i have perment nerve damage to my left leg and toes due to a botched surgery my opion go to a pain specialist not the ER theirs a big diffrence in the med they will give you a good pain doc will not give you hydrocodone or oxycodone beacuse it will not help the problem
