Zaldiar helps?

Hi everyone, yesterday night I went to the hospital due to severe pain in my head and legs and reported the problem that has been persistent (also in my chest area) with sharp and long pains. They didn't really check anything, just my blood pressure and gave me 2 diazepam pills (that i didn't have the opportunity to check the mg) and some intravenous drug. I was hoping they'd give me something stronger because the pain decreased a bit but didn't really stop. They prescribed me Zaldiar which I'll start taking today, but as I've never heard of this drug before I am reluctant to wether it will help me or not. Either way I should check this with a specialized doctor because the pain has been persistant and I suffer from it daily, but just to be sure, anyone has taken Zaldiar before? It's paracetamol combined with tramadol. Do Tylenol or Vicodin work better, for instance?

Yes! You need to see a doctor as soon as possible. I would start with your PCP and let them order the test needed right away and then get a referral to a neurologist if that is what is needed.

You should definatly follow up with a primary Dr. especially cuz you are experiencing chest pain.  The emergency room really helps if your in a life threatening situation, but otherwise they really are limited especially with economics these days on how much testing and prescribing they will do.

Thank you so much for the advice and for letting me know a bit about the drugs. The doctor yesterday helped a bit but I could see they were quite reluctant about giving me something stronger. I have read about tylenol, vicodin and other painkillers and thought about asking about these but then I thought it would be better not to cause they would think I am making that up to get some narcotics. :\ I guess that's what they think right away especially when they see a young person claiming they are in pain and want medicine to relieve it... So in this case you think I should get an appointment with a neurologist? I dunno really, I am kind of lost in this... They could prescribe painkillers too even if I have pain in my chest and legs so it could help? Anyway I just took 1 zaldiar pill, let's see how I feel cause now I have to take those every 8 hrs...

I am glad to hear the ER helped you with your pain. The doctors there sometimes are reluctant to help those in pain in fear of being taken advantage of by drug abusers.
Zaldiar is fairly new and I have not tried it but I know my Dad has and it worked so so he said. He takes stronger medications for pain but it was to supplement his other medications. His doctor told him to stay on it the entire month to make the decision if it helps him or not.
Vicodin is a stronger pain medicine, a narcotic so it probably would work better but if the non-narcotic your taking is helping the pain I suggest trying to stick with that as long as possible. Due to tolerance you will have to increase your dosage when taking narcotics so it is best to keep your dosage low as you can.
You do need to see your doctor and have the proper test done to see what is causing your pain and this will help your doctor be able to treat the pain better if not find the problem and take care of it so you will not have to take pain medications daily.
