i know!, its a horrible feeling, its getting that bad that everytime i see the doctor and i tell him/her about my mother and my anxiety they tell me thats all thats wrong with me and i need to relax, thats why i dont tell them anymore, the last year has been very hard as you can imagine but im trying to cope as much as possible, maybe it is anxiety thats causing this im not sure but im going further about it. im 21 years old and i just want to live a happy life and not stress about anything. i want to thank you for writing back to my posts.
I can empathize with your anxiety. I've always had it to some degree, but after my mom died, it escalated, and since my daughter left for college in August, it's really out of control. Even taking Ativan isn't helping these days.
How many doctors have you seen? I know sometimes stress and anxiety can bring on pain. But it can also happen that sometimes doctors just haven't found the cause and it can take a long time to get to the bottom of everything.
It's good you're going to have an ultrasound; it's a step. If it comes back clear, then you need to have your doctor look further. Good luck and let us know how things turn out.
im sorry this sounds unclear, i have just got this pain out of nowhere, i suffer bad with anxiety since the death of my mother and i have been in and out of hospitals and doctors because of my anxiety but iv never had this nerve like feeling in my throat and the back of my neck, the pain in the back of my neck seems to come if i put tension on it eg reaching at a height, but the pain in my throat comes at any time and it last a couple of minuets then it could stop for days. i am currently awaitng on a ultrasound on my throat, but the doctors have told me there is nothing wrong, the have taken blood test and everything has come back fine.
Sorry no one has responded to this. But I think the description you've given is a little unclear (at least to me.) You say you've had this for a couple of months. Did anything happen to bring it on? Had you been ill prior to it? What kind of doctor did you see and did they do any tests at all? How often do you get it and how long does it last? Does anything bring it on or is there anything that relieves it?
Maybe if you haven't tried one yet, you should see an ENT specialist. Sometimes we have to keep searching when something is wrong. Just because a doctor didn't find what's wrong doesn't mean there isn't something going on. It just means they haven't found it yet.
