I Have been on percocet 5g tab 6-8 per day, have prescri[tion eery 2 wks for 90few months ago i had oral surgery on 3 teeh i to the dentist i was on perccet for back pain bu gave me a script for 15 vicodins, i had no clue when i filled the viciodin was doing anything wrong...nowmy primary dr cant fill my regular percocet...i have appt nxt week hoping he understands or refers me to another dr...he has been prescribing  meds for 2yrs never failed drug test or miss appt..i have bulg disc and arthritis in back had mri done

ya I guess I didn't even realize was a big problem but know that have researched I see that it is....just thought a dentist prescribing meds was totally different....well hope dr understands

Hi there, unfortunately, it looks like doctor shopping (not saying that is the case and not judging you) but with the way things are now and all of the media hysteria, your doctor has to cover himself. When you see him, explain whats going on, maybe offer to sign a pain contract (if you haven't already) or maybe refer you to a pain management doctor. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
