My Kindergartener is misbehaving only in school.....

My daughter is 5 1/2 and just entered kindergarten. She has been in daycare/preschool since the age of 3 months. Since school started this year she has had multiple notices a week sent home in her folder with probably 10 checkmarks of things she is doing wrong....from talking, to being disrespectful, to not listening, to playing when she is in trouble or "on red". She does not act like this at home. I have tried reasoning with her, rewarding her, talking to her, punishing her. NOthing seems to be working. The teacher never gives any recommendations of what to do. She goes to aftercare at the school and has NEVER had a problem. I dont know what to do, but am at my whits end. Please help. What should I do.

I emailed her teacher last night when i got home and she immediately emailed back and said that she sometimes forgets the children are only 5 years old. She's been teaching for 13 years, so its suprising to me. I think if it does continue I will meet with the principal and discuss switching teachers. NJ schools have had a lot of educational cuts. There is one teacher for 26 kindergarteners and no aids. Sometimes parents come in to volunteer,  but its not consistent. I think that's a big part of the problem too. Thanks for your input.

It's only November,  there's a LOT of school year left,  can you have a conference with the teacher and see about getting her switched to a different class after the  December break?

If she's been in preschool,  after hours care,  and at home she shows none of this disruptive behavior it sounds like it's either the other kids in the class or the teacher.
