My Two Year Old is complaining of Tummy Pains

How long does an Viral Infection last?
My daughter has been sick since last Sunday where she is fine through the day then at night she vomits. I was waiting it out thinking it could be a flu or something but it has almost been too long it seems like. She keeps saying her tummy hurts. Holds it and will lay on the floor, couch or just lay anywhere. Then in a few seconds she's okay again.
I took her into the Emergecy on Tuesday Night and the doctor had to put her on I.V. because she could not hold anything down. She wants to sleep all the time, no energy and very pale. He told me it is an viral infection and it has to take it course there is not anything else we or he can do for her.
So yesturday I took her to the doctor. He told me that he tummy feels fine but he wants a urine sample done anyways to make sure. I thought they would have doner this at the hospital or atleast blood tests to rule other reason out but guess not. My doctor even asted me why they did not do an urine sample. I have no idea.
I have no idea what to do does anyone have any advice?

I will make sure I do. It's just fustrating when they can't give you an stright answer. I thought maybe it could be an allergy to something she's eating or being exposed to in our home. I think I will be gertting an allergy test done anyways just so I have peace of mind. The doctor's here in Edmonton are not much better than the one I had in Dawson Creek, so I have a hard time trusting new ones because the doctor we had up their knows our complete family history.
I get very easily scared when it comes to my children getting sick because of all the past history I've went through with them already.
I will take your adfvice and see the doctor again or go stright to the E.R..

Thank You

I would call your doctor again and tell him that you're taking her back to the ER.
