Almost 7 year old daughter STILL wetting herself.

My daughter is almost 7 and we still have problems with her peeing her pants.  She wets the bed at night on the regular, but so did I and my mother until we were both 11 years. But I feel my daughter is just too lazy during the day to stop playing and go and she wets herself.  I can tell when she has to go pee cuz her eyes get watery and when I ask if she has to go, she will say yes and wait a second until she is able to stand up and runs to the bathroom.  I don't know how to get her to understand the importance of going to the bathroom and not holding it or peeing herself for that matter.  HELP?

My daughter is 8 and still has this problem. She doesnt wet her bed but she does have issues with stopping what she is doing to go to the bathroom during the day. She will go the whole day at school without going per and by the time she gets home she is almost crawling in from the bus.  She ended up with a bladder and kidney infection last year. After that we started her on a bathroom schedule. She has to at least go try at specific times every day. It has helped a lot, but if left to her own senses she still waits too long and wets herself. She has ADHD and sensory  integration disorder, but her pediatrician doesn't think the bathroom stuff is related. Moral of the story would be just set up a bathroom time schedule, like when she gets up, once at school (around lunch is a good time) as soon as she gets home from school, after dinner, and before bed. Good luck!
