parent and son still sleeping together

My 7 yo nephew still sleeps with mom, and does NOT have his own bedroom. He could be sharing a room with his 2 yo little sister, she has her own room, but her son sleeps with her and does not have his own space. I catch him trying to peek at me when I am trying to use the bathroom, even my 3 year old daughter gets peeked at. The father sleeps in a seperate bed in the same room but the son sleeps with mom every night. I find his behavior weird at times as well as his school with certain things. Could his behavior stem from being so "close" to his mother. I think it's weird. Babies are different, but he is in elementary school. There is room in the house for him to have a seperate bed.

Many families sleep together and it doesn't mean anything weird or abusive is happening its just a choice, in Europe and Italy its the norm .by the time a child reaches puberty they usually want their own space. this is your preference and that is their preference , its their home isnt it, Children fidget around at night so for me their own bed is best as one can wake up in the night with a foot stuck in ones ear . May I ask if it concerns you why you stay there .?

I think at this age he should be having his own room or at least a separate bed at least. They are allowing this to happen and its not right. The husband and wife should be in the same bed and that is my opinion.

I dont think that its disgusting or anything like that, just that they are teaching him bad habits and he needs to learn to sleep on his own.

If my daughter could sleep with me everyday or with us she would and she is 9. Unless she is sick or has a nightmare she stays in her room and I have to be firm with it.
