Yay thanks so much for coming back to update us. Very glad to hear this:) When you get time you will have to upload a pic of your little guy on your profile, would love to see him.
Thanks for your suggestions :) Been really busy with baby. The nurse gave me a call back and was told to give him fever reducer 0.4 every 4 hours and watch his temp. He is now fever free,. Once again thank you
This is super common. They should have given you some literature around this issue..shame on them if they did not. It can be scary if you don't know about it. As Margy said, make sure he stays hydrated. It's also ok to give him infant tylenol or advil (be very careful to follow recommended dosing instructions. go by weight or age, depending on which tells you to give him the lesser amount). Just watch him. If it's just a fever of low grade like that, not a big deal. You may also find him fussier then normal. If the fever gets high, he gets a rash or has any trouble breathing, have him seen right away. Chances are that won't happen though. Many babies get a low grade fever after vaccination. Take care.
It could be a reaction to the shots, many do get a fever afterwards, make sure he is well hydrated and taking fluids, you do not want him dehydrated . take him back to the Doctor if he gets worse in case it is a reaction.
I would definitely try to get a hold of your doctor. Is he getting a rash anywhere? Maybe they can at least let you know if you can give him a fever reducer to help. Let us know how everything worked out :( Hope he feels better, poor little guy.
