My 2 year-old daughter just had a bone age scan done today and it showed her age as a 3-year old. We have an appointment with the peds endo on Tuesday. The reason for the bone scan was thelarche. She was born healthy, breastfed for 3 months then switched to Alimentum due to protein allergy (2-7 months) and then Soy formula (7-12 months). The breasts used to be glandular, now are just fatty. She has no other symptoms. I am anxious to see what the endo will say and probably order some lab tests. Also, what is the SD for bone age in a two-year old? Like any mom, I am very worried. I always raised the issue of her breasts with her regular pediatrician and it was always a discussion of homones coming from me, then hormones in soy... I just hope that we did not waste time. Thanks.
